I'd call it a derived number, and not a hidden one, but you'll get more views by calling it hidden.
Regardless, this was a great video. Thanks for putting it up!

Summary: The Four Blood Pressure Numbers
Systolic Pressure (1st Number): The pressure in your arteries when your heart beats.
Diastolic Pressure (2nd Number): The pressure in your arteries when your heart rests between beats.
Pulse Rate (3rd Number): How many times your heart beats per minute.
Pulse Pressure (The "Hidden" 4th Number): Calculated by subtracting your diastolic number from your systolic number (Systolic - Diastolic = Pulse Pressure).

Never knew this. Just checked my daily BP log, I'm 71 and my PP is in the lower 40's. I guess that's good.

I've been bringing attention to this for decades and everyone thinks I'm crazy 😂 Thank you for releasing this!

This is very interesting. As a teen, my family doctor was worried about my "high" BP of 140/70, and had me coming in regularly to check it, and it was consistently in that range. Now that I'm in my 50s, my BP is often in the 130/80 range, which is still considered "concerning". 🤔

That's really interesting, I've worked in the NHS repairing this machines so I often used to stick them on my arm to test them in the real world, not just on the simulator, I never knew about this fourth figure. I'm now 78 and test my BP every month if I remember. My average 4th number for the last year 2025-2026 is 36 which is interesting because checking back over the previous couple of years the average was 58, just after that period I started taking vitamin D3 and K2 along with Magnesium Glycinate 18 months ago, coincidence? Maybe, I'm not sure, but it seems to have largely cured my ectopic heartbeat I've had since a teenager. Generally very fit and healthy with a lot of walking and competitive Table Tennis once or twice a week.

My pulse pressure is consistently higher then 40, usually around 67 to 73, when I did my medicine review at my GP’s surgery, I told the physician I am concerned with my wide pulse pressure, she didn’t even know what a Pulse pressure is.

I used to have excessively LOW blood pressure. 100/60 or so was a typical reading. The diastolic went down into the 50s if I was not being active. Low enough sometimes, that the doctors would talk to me about it, although no 'treatment' was ever suggested.
In my 30s I used to go to a gym that recorded BP going in and leaving. ~105/65 and 120/80 was often the case. That's right... I only had "normal" BP after hard exercise and weightlifting!
Now that I'm in my early 60s, my BP has gradually climbed a bit. Last time was 125/80. Guess I'm doing all right. The doctor didn't say anything about it but the nurse took my BP twice... as new nurses always do with me.
