  Reading these comments, a lot of you are saying the same thing — you take them out yourself with a sterilised needle and it works. You&apos;re right, and I&apos;m not going to pretend otherwise. Here&apos;s what I should have made clearer: they won&apos;t pop like a spot, because there&apos;s no opening to begin with — but nick the skin to make one, and that little keratin pearl does come out. Which is exactly what you&apos;re all describing.<br><br>The one place I&apos;d still stop you is the eye itself. On the cheek or body, a properly sterilised pinprick is one thing — but right on the lash line the skin is paper-thin, and there&apos;s a comment on this very video from someone left with a lump and a scar after one went wrong. That&apos;s the line I&apos;d draw.<br><br>And since a couple of you asked — I don&apos;t charge to remove these. In clinic I usually pass them to our beautician. I see them because I&apos;m checking skin for cancer, not selling removals.<br><br>Last thing: &quot;harmless&quot; doesn&apos;t mean it isn&apos;t bothering you. If they&apos;re knocking your confidence, that&apos;s reason enough to deal with them. I hear you.

  I remove them myself with a sharp sterilized needle. Takes seconds and the tiny pinprick heals in a day or so.

  Squeezing works just fine if you lance it with a sterile needle first to break the skin.

  I get rid of mine with a needle too, but I don&apos;t dig it out. I just scratch the surface of the skin with the needle.<br>A day or so later, a scab forms on the skin where I scratched it. I pick the scab off, and the milia comes off with it.

  Mine seem to swell when I sweat. I was never much of a sweater my whole life, but now in my 60s, I tend to, so the spots are now there.

  Oh dear! I had one on the inner side of my upper eyelid. Now I have a fat bump underneath a scar. 😐
