  Another devastating story occurred after the war. &nbsp; When the Nazis invaded, &nbsp;they would INSPECT young children and decide if they looked Aryan enough to pass as Germans. &nbsp;If so they were sent to good German homes. <br>After the war, &nbsp;the Red Cross learned of this and decided these children should be returned to their home countries. &nbsp; They didn&apos;t check to see if any family survived. &nbsp; The red cross with 1/2 MPs simply showed up and removed them.<br> &nbsp; &nbsp; One young girl was originally from Poland. &nbsp;She left Poland as an infant. &nbsp;She spoke German. &nbsp;She was loved, &nbsp;cared for and lived on a small farm. &nbsp;Suddenly at almost 5 , she was literally pulled out of the arms of the only love she knew. &nbsp; Placed on a train bound for Poland. &nbsp; She couldn&apos;t understand anyone or anything. &nbsp; She cried for her Mom, in German. &nbsp;At the orphanage it was ascertained none of her family lived. &nbsp;She was beaten for speaking German and spit on. &nbsp;This was her life until 15 when she left.<br> &nbsp; &nbsp; She tried to leave Poland and tried walking back to Germany. &nbsp;Russians stopped her and spent time in a jail. &nbsp;She was never united with her German Mom. &nbsp;She said she understood the Red Cross was trying to right a wrong. &nbsp; Yet by not going a few steps more to see if anyone survived, &nbsp;they made things worse for an unfortunately large number of children. <br><br>Also France and Russia tried claiming babies and toddlers to help replenish the population. &nbsp; So another disaster was formed using children. <br><br>Trying to save a population from genocide was extraordinary and brave on everyone concerned. &nbsp; I have never heard of this done for the Roma community. <br> &nbsp; &nbsp; After all, Switzerland and Sweden removed children from their Roma families until the 1970s. &nbsp; Also forced sterilization on the women. &nbsp; These countries have never recognized their actions or apologized. <br> &nbsp; &nbsp; Germany finally recognized and apologized for actions against the Roma community in 2011/2012.<br><br>GOD bless those who tried to save these oppressed groups. &nbsp; You will be judged lovingly by GOD

  This is an amazing story. A remarkable man with the help of incredibly brave people saved many lives can been seen in the 2012 Dutch film Süskind.

  Diese Geschichte habe ich jetzt zum zweiten Mal angehört. Es hat mir das erste mal inspiriert. Ich habe dann angefangen Prof. Fehmanns &nbsp;Video&apos;s anzuschauen. Jetzt gefallen sie mir noch besser in Deutsch, meine zweite Sprache. &nbsp;Ich denke der Deutsche Sprache regt meine Intellekt noch mehr an als Englisch. Auch der Stimme ist angenehme zum Zuhören.   And according to the account of Corrie ten Boom, all of the host families had to have smuggled food ration books brought to them every month, another whole underground operation.

  Every time I read a book or watch a video about the Holocaust I say a prayer that I would have had the courage to do the right thing. You never know until the choice is staring you in the face. ✝️🕎
