  I'm an amateur guitarist, and the truth is I've spent a lot of time with digital equipment and not playing guitar; it felt like I was doing office work. A while ago I went back to my transistor amp and my Boss pedals, and now I'm less stressed and enjoying music more.

  I have both. Nothing is quite like the interaction of the amp pushing air in the room with you. The natural feedback is a part of the sound that digital doesn't have .

  I’ve always said this. Tried many and always go back to my tube amps and pedals.

  The digital stuff will trick your brain for a little while, but it never sounds the same as a real tube amps.

  Couldn't agree more, same situation here. Had a QC and now using Nam for home practice but use my real amps live, with pedals. Analog pedal switcher gives you lots of control as well.

  100% Agree with the sitting at your computer to make a bunch of presets etc is a waste of time. It’s cool to just use real stuff and make music

  I did the same and sold my modeler.  Bought all my pedals and new amps.  Analog is still king. The tube amp has that thing and can't be duplicated.

  So true..lately ive been so disapointed live when modeller are used. I saw a major band and the day after a local Young punk band  in Stockholm and the guitar was SO MUCH BETTER clear distinkt and lovely  and you could feel the strings …with the modeller it was muddy and disapeard…Real are Real

  I have a 1968 Deluxe Reverb and use it in a Worship Band.   You just can't get the sound a real amp makes when the valves are opened up.  Simple; plug in and turn a dial or two and your there :-)   Thanks for posting !

  I find the same outcome as you. We spend far too much time trying to get the modeler to sound like the real amp and it just never gets there. They sound ok but never the same.

  Great perspective mate! I use both for different applications but if I could only have one it would be an amp. Modellers are always chasing perfection, amplifiers already found it 50 years ago 🤘
