  The Me 262 is more a videogame plane rather than a WW2 icon. <br>Spitfire, ME 109, Corsair, P51, B17... Those are the big icons that saw action in countless movies. A top ten? Add the P40, the Hellcat, the Zero, the Stuka the He111

  ften considered one of the finest all-around fighter aircraft of WWII. Equipped with the Rolls-Royce Merlin engine, the P-51 possessed the range and speed needed to escort Allied bombers deep into enemy territory and back.

  Back in the late 60&apos;s I knew a missionary in Brazil that had been a belly gunner in a B17 out of England. He related that at one time his flight got a new pilot and he wanted to get better mileage so the belly turret was removed and a sheet of metal was placed over the space. On that day they went on a bombing run over Belgium. His job was to assist one of the side gunners. During the run he casually looked at the sheet metal and there was a three-and-a-half inch hole right in the middle. He looked up and saw another three-and-a-half inch hole in the ceiling of the aircraft. An 88 shell had just run through the aircraft. Had his flight still had the previous pilot he would have been in the belly turret. His life had been spared by events and a merciful God.

  I love the dissection/cutaway looks into these aircraft. I hope you can do the ME-410 Hornisse and explain<br>how the rear gunner&apos;s reflector sight works with the machinery and all.

  So that is detail, by god. The engineer&apos;s station made me jump right up. My dad, James Wilson Mason, hated his job in the hothouse chin of a B-29. &nbsp;&quot;The aircraft is yours, Jimmy&quot; - &quot;The aircraft is mine, hang on...&quot;. &nbsp;My dad learned to drink like a proper soldier in 1945. Note I didn&apos;t say &quot;airman&quot; because he was deeply grounded and a talented artist who judged himself to death. WWII, ladles and germs.

  Can you guys please, PLEASE do a video on the Zero and Yak-9? I know these videos are a lot of work but Blue Paw Print is the absolute BEST channel for this type of content and we would all be forever greatful!!!
