  As Germans we have to be incredibly thankful for what Van Gaal did. He was the first one to trust in Müller and he changed Schweinsteigers position from winger to a number 8. Absolute legend that man.

  People with ball knowledge know just how special of a player he was in his prime.<br>Severly underrated and underappreciated, especially his character. How important he is to the entire club, despite being just a player.<br>He IS Bayern, and Bayern is nothing without him.<br>Call me crazy but all the success Bayern had over the last 15 years was built upon his back.<br>Personally, I strongly believe he is an all-time great german football legend. Once he retires, his resume is completed and we look back at his career he will stand amongst players like Franz Beckenbauer, Gerd Müller and Lother Matthäus.<br>And just to show how crazy this german generation was, I&apos;d say the same for Neuer, Lahm, Schweinsteiger and Kroos.

  Most underrated footballer of all time, like just look at his numbers, only messi and ronaldo rival them. Look at his trophies, look at what teammates or coaches say about him. One of the all &nbsp;time greats and nothing less.
