  I never met a Clark Kent, but I used to go to a church ministered by a Reverend Peter Parker. I never caught him clinging to walls, but there were a lot of cobwebs in that church.

  The thing is (credit to Overly Sarcastic Productions for this observation) Superman is already a deconstruction. He's a deconstruction of the idea that absolute power corrupts absolutely. That a person with great strength can choose to use that strength help others. If ordinary people can choose to be kind, why can't a super one?

  Yup. Didn’t even get to the part where you revealed the title. I knew it by cover alone. When I told people my favorite Superman comic didn’t have Superman in it, this is what I referred to.

  This is one of my all time favourite Superman comics. It’s a piece of art and the all time best ‘Superhero in the real world story’. Even while being a different Clark Kent it understands the character so well and getting to see his whole life and his happy ending will never not make feel inspired and want to be a better man.

  When I was a teenager, I went to church with a kid whose last name was Bond and his parents, for whatever reason, named him James. &nbsp;I have no idea if he ever went into the spy business.

  I like that this comic asks and answers the question &quot;Who is Superman?&quot; by the proxy of a normal man. It&apos;s got the same answer it always does, but told in a way that is new, but familiar.<br>&quot;Who is Superman? He&apos;s just a man. A man who wants to help.&quot;
