  As an absolute stan of the "Bros" of the Persona games, that being Junpei, Yosuke, and Ryuji, I am sad to see them so low on the polls.

  I remember reading that the reason why Femc is a thing is because they were surprised how popular Persona 3 was among women, so they decided to add an alternate route for them in Portable. It's pretty interesting!

  It feels to me like the likes and dislikes in japan align fairly well with cultural expectations. <br>Ryuji is introduced as &quot;vulgar boy&quot;, he dyes his hair blonde and has very little respect for his elders. Kanji also Bleeches his hair, like rebellious youths often do in japan. <br>Meanwhile Makoto is studying alot and caring about her future, her older sister, her dad, and the collective she is responsible for taking care of - the student body. This makes her very popular.

  There are actually sayings in Japan like &nbsp;&quot;college is the spring break of life&quot; &nbsp;and &quot;You can only play while you&apos;re still in university.&quot; &nbsp;It&apos;s seen as relief between stressing out about entrance exams as a high schools and the soul crushing work of being an adult. &nbsp; Tbh, I&apos;m not sure why there more anime and games centered college students in games. I assumed is because &nbsp;high school is the more universal experience?

  I am a Ryuji stan… this Ryuji hate just upsets me, dude has your back from the very beginning. And the scene they added in Royal of him jumping in front of joker and akechi to block an attack from possessed Sumire really shows how much he cares by putting himself in danger just like his fake out death in shidos palace

  im honestly shocked that ryuji polled higher than morgana, even by a hair. given the japanese audiences&apos; bizarre and inexplicable hateboner (or at the <i>very least,</i> aggressive disinterest) for our best boy, i was positive he&apos;d come dead last<br><br>doubly so that he polled higher than <i>haru.</i> like, yeah yeah i know, <i>screen time lol</i> but even if you dont give a toss about haru as a character, she&apos;s still adorable. i woulda thought for sure that being a cute anime girl would automatically give her the edge over ryuji for japanese audiences but, fine by me mate. us ryuji truthers will take our wins where we can get them
