  Not retired yet but my wife and I are looking at MUCH higher in income when we retire than while working. 2 SS, me with 35 years of pension, annuity in 10 years.  Roughly $14k of monthly income w/o touching multi-millions in 401ks. It’s been a long slog but we bloody earned it.

  About 3.5 months into early retirement.  Proud 2% club member who is doing partial Roth conversions each year in retirement to increase the Roth bucket.  I'm paying the annual conversion taxes via increasing Fed/State withholding on my monthly 401k withdrawal.

  Well I am excited for the Pension and taking SS now because it pays all my core monthly expenses and my portfolio can grow. I am 63yrs old. I don't have quite $1 mil yet but maybe a year or so. Now that I have settled in and retired for 1 year, I am trying to adjust my mindset to think about spending a little of it on myself soon. Its very hard to change my saving mindset though.

  29 years old. 15-30 years from retirement. Been investing for 2.5 years. 43k in Roth and 200k in brokerage

  Just found this channel and LOVE it. Worried about TAXES in retirement. My wife and I will retire with two pensions (Fed Gov & County Teacher) ; two Social Security ; two retirement (TSP and 403b/457).

  Currently receiving 100% in VA compensation from medically retiring from the military. Since retiring at 37 in 2023, my TSP has grown from $80k to $150k without new contributions. Last year, I returned to work, this time for the USPS. The work is physically laborious so I'm unsure how long this position will work, but earning a postal pension and having a chance to resume TSP contributions upon reaching career status will fast track my goals.

  I don&apos;t have a juicy state/gov pension, or 1mil, but my private sector pension was enough to allow my retirement at 55. No debt is key. I do have low cost benefits.<br>Taking SS at 62 (which will be ~$2300) will keep my portfolio intact.
