Great Advice, I've been retired for 5 years with a small pension and have been been working on all the aspects except #9 - I'll need to investigate that further. I'm not planning to take SS till 67-ish or FRA for me. - Cheers

Thank you so much, Joe. My friend just told me about your YouTube channel yesterday. I'm in that situation where I retired younger, have a pension and not sure when to collect social security, so your videos are very helpful. Thank you again! God bless you and your family.

Seems like it would make more sense to take SS at age 62 if you have a good pension to reduce your tax liability. That's my plan. Retiring at 55 in September with a NC government pension with premium free coverage. I am debt free too.😊

That is why I will be taking my social security at 62. Having a career in the military and the DoD civilian sector make this an easy decision.

I took a lump sum pension but knowing that I purchased Long-term Care Insurance in my early 40's with a 10 year premium rider. It was paid in full after 10 years. Protecting those assets from the greatest threat was absolutely necessary. I know there are several ways to accomplish this and for some it's self insure but I like to think with the extensive coverage I was able to get takes the financial issue off the table and makes it the best care issue.

Regarding your early comments mention of your mom reading all the comments. Watch out for the cougar crossing Joe. 😂 Mom don’t worry about any negative comments as there will always be some people that are only here to hate on those doing well; you should be proud of your son.
