  lol my mum (who was definitely not old money. No money at all in fact. She use to love Full Na Na and mourned the loss of it. She was a perfume enthusiast and we would go into the posh department store and spray samples on a wrist each and over the years we became quite the experts. We went into the Floris shop and bought the rose ones. They aren’t as expensive as some. <br><br>The best scents aren’t always just the most expensive. She had and loved both Joy and 4711.

  Old money would also purchase the fragrances that were available to anyone (in upscale stores at a high price) BEFORE the EU &apos;perfume police&apos; banned many of the ingredients and/or the extent of them that could be used. One of the reasons for the said &apos;relationships&apos; with certain perfumers where a product is not advertised IS to have a fragrance made with the &apos;good stuff&apos; the EU perfume police banned.

  You speak &nbsp;of there is a world of scents that even rich people cannot enter .It&apos;s all about taste and the perfume industry is massive most people just want a perfume and get on with there life I&apos;m a keen student of perfumery.

  Well the british houses were all inspired by India and orient like grossmith , phul is actually translates to &quot; flower &quot; in hindi and &quot; nana&quot; is &quot; variety&quot; then Hasnuhana is the local indian name of nighyblooming jasmine with very strong creamy whitefloral &nbsp; smell which grows naturally all over asia and one can catch whiff in the air also while pasing by

  I liked JAR Golconda and the purple room at Bergdorf&apos;s when it was there. Golconda smelled like stargazer lily and carnation which are my favorite scents. The representatives for the company don&apos;t validate whether or not the product has those fragrance combinations in the product &nbsp;though. They just encourage to &apos;experience&apos; it. Personally, I think the Golconda was made from lilial and isoeugenol which are banned compounds per the EU &apos;perfume police&apos; which could explain the mystery and elusiveness of the brand.
