  I love watching your videos, Ron I’m from Indiana somewhat pretty much retired electrician but I still enjoy watching your stuff. You and I are a lot alike. I liked my tools. I like having the right tools to do the job right but great enjoyment. Keep them coming, brother. I also love how you showcase the tools I’ve been out of it for probably 10 years maybe professionally and I can’t even believe how much tools have changed not let alone in the materials. It’s always good to see that stuff. I actually cut myself I bought a new pair of crypto tools of the day for a couple things I was doing for I installed a couple vortex whole house search protectors on my house and Barn, but I needed a new crimp tool to do the ends, but I love and appreciate how you showcase your tools. I love my tools

  When I was a younger electrician, I might have done it live ,nowadays. I won't do it live. Stay safe out there.

  32 years as an industrial maintenance mechanic and commercial /institutional / Industrial HVACR service tech  . One thing I have learned is there is nothing like doing it live to keep you in your toes . Had a 1000 amp 480 /3ø ground 2 of 3  due to improperly mounted metallic blank taking of panel cover  . No shock or burn( cover was still on )  but it took 20 minutes for me to get my wits back ( was like a flash bang ) shut down one entire side of a plant . To this day 27 years later I still sweat doing panel work live .

  Oh my god Ron ... without any isolated tools and protecting gloves do you work on this life box??? Respect. I work only with gloves on with european subpanels (3-phase 400V) that have power connected. In Europe the panels build by using plastic and that's is not a real problem but your "encloser" seems to be metal 😅

  As a 2 year industrial controls tech, my mind was just blown the entire time you were removing those live leads. I was sweating for you. Good job being careful there. Mad props to you.

  as a former fire-fighter and someone that has done a fair amount of diy electrical work inside, love the external disconnect to keep the panel truly dead while working.

  I like the exterior disconnect. Plus, after I installed my generator and ATS, I could cut the 200 amp main service off and test the generator transfer easily, OR if a big storm was coming I could isolate the entire house from the grid.

  I am not a '' YouTuber Electrician ''  !!!  I'm a State Licensed Journeyman Electrician / Sub Contractor and have worked in the trade for 60 years ! Most of my work has been Residential and some Commercial. And most of the work that I have done over the 60 years , I worked alone doing all the work myself from design layout , roughing in and final trim out. I admire your work that you do Ron and the fact that you also do most of it all by yourself ! I Tip my Hat to You and Salute You ! You are Professional !!
