  I just wish that Emilia had more screen time. For an Elder to just die like its no biggy never felt right to me.

  important point is that marcus and william were twins. <br>also its suggested that lucians mother was bit by william and not a secondary werewolf. which would make sense why hes a seemingly more powerful lycan.

  Another reason the chain kept Marcus from finding William is because he only ever got the blood memories of Emilia when it was his turn to lead. On the flip side Victor would inherit Marcus&apos;s memories and immediately be able to tell if he was up to something.

  Always liked Marcus&apos; backstory and the way it fueled the dynamic of his relationships with the other elders for centuries. He also, at least, indeed cared for his brother.. and I kinda felt bad for him after he sees William killed. All that for nothing, in the end.

  I imagine that Marcus&apos;s reign whenever he was awake was low key chill, &nbsp;he didn&apos;t care so much about politics and coloman and orsova were his favorites and his staunch supporters and seem competent enough in court as we see in rise of the lycans. &nbsp;Whenever he wasn&apos;t mulling about Williams fate he would be a nice guy to be with ( at least compared to viktor and the other lecherous council members)

  Markus telling viktor not to kill william was also a way to protect himself; because if we all die due to you being the first vampire, then williams death should have the same effect on all werewolves. That&apos;s why Viktor just wanted to kill william and be done with it because he was under that impression. &nbsp;Markus knew that if william was killed but the lycans persisted then he would be moved to test that theory against markus. &nbsp;Clever lie by Markus to cover his own arse.

  Marcus was such wasted potential. Being a hybrid along with being the first vampire, he could have been a 2 film villain. Being severely wounded in evolution and returning in the sequel

  Tony Curran is one of the most underutilized actors out there. Great character actor who should get more leading roles because he knocks it out of the park in Defiance and in the small screen time he gets in The Punisher season 1 he again steals the show.
