  Lesson number 1, you’re not gonna learn to lay brick in a day. Or by a 10 minute video. Trust me, after a while you’ll realize that the more you learn the more you will realize how much you need to learn.This trade takes time, that’s why you don’t see the masons much on home builders shows.  It’s not like cutting wood or screwing pipes.

  I became an apprentice right out of high school. I chose that over going to college to become a music teacher. After over 30 years in the trade, I finally changed my career. <br>Now that I am retired, I draw &nbsp;a nice pension from the trade and am living my dream of being a full time musician. All this was made possible from working hard at this noble trade!

  Very enjoyable to watch. My dad was a brick mason for 50+ years. I love the &nbsp;sound of the trowel scraping the brick.

  It&apos;s so good to see a Brickmason through a head joint with a trowel! I&apos;ve been watching other people and they butter the brick then lay it. Real nice clean workmanship. I was a Mason for 55 years in the USA.
