  This is part one of a two-parter, so it doesn't include every example of Maxploitation. The most obvious omission is the work of Cirio H Santiago, but there’s all kinds of other stuff to come in the concluding part. It's a hefty subgenre and, as always, I’ve reached beyond it for the most worthwhile nearby nonsense, and covered stuff like the Escape from the Bronx movies for context. And because they’re great. Hope you enjoy!
