Mum dragged me along to Raiders, I was 9 years old and didn't want to go. I thought it was going to be crap.
10 minutes in I had ascended to heaven.

You can tell Brad is a MST3K fan by him naming the director of 'Take This Job and Shove It' as Gus Trichinosis (a running joke on the show) over his real name, Gus Trikonis.

One of the greatest things about these yearly reviews is looking at the poster art. It's amazing how talented these artists were and it's a shame this is no longer an aspect of film production.

My dad was working part time as a theater manager when he met my mother. He took her to the local premiere of Raiders of the Lost Ark. Two months later they were married, and nine months after that I was born, so I basically credit my entire existence to that movie.

81 gave us snob, my girlfriend, and the heavy metal soundtrack. Pretty great year by my metrics

Having watched both of his year in film videos, it truly feels like 1981 was a sequel to 1980. I know that sounds kind of stupid, but given that there were 10 movies he listed as his favorite in 1980 and over 20 that he listed for this year, I think that shows the increase in quality.

I just wanted to thank Brad and other fans of the channel for great content both in video and replies. Last 2 months have been rough on a personal level as im recovering from anxiety and depression. But having channels like this helps. So these 3 hours will be greatly appreciated as will the replies.

Ms .45 is a legitimately good film in the vein of Taxi Driver.

I’ve watched Polyester and History of the World Part 1 for New Years Eve for the past ~20 years. Still not sure how that became a tradition, but always a great way to end the year!

1:37:18 is the same clip which was shown in a “Walt Disney and You” promo where it was included at the end of every Disney VHS tape from the “Neon Mickey” period which were the first generation Disney home video releases.
