  Back when I was in school there was a girl with actual Tourettes and because of these people specifically she got bullied since everyone thought she was faking them. People on TikTok fucking suck man, there not doing anything to help.

  unfortunately i went through a lot as a child, and because of that i have been diagnosed with cptsd. watching kids on tiktok pretend to have cptsd made me think for the longest time that i didnt have cptsd and that i was overreacting to things that just made me uncomfortable. fakers make people who are actually diagnosed doubt themselves and that just. isnt fucking right at all

  I absolutely hate people who try to fake shit only to be quirky. Mental disorders are no fun. (Talking from experience, sadly.) People with actual disorders would rather hide them from the public rather than showing them on purpose.

  I’m diagnosed with DID, and I can tell you for sure it’s nothing like what Tiktok makes it. I was only diagnosed in young adult years because I’d been going to therapy since as young as 8 years old. DID is a <b>covert</b> disorder, so it hides itself from you, and means it’s impossible to self diagnose. Seeing all these people who have self diagnosed it, recording their ‘alters’ switching in beat to the music, and spreading insane amounts of misinformation to other pickme people is extremely insulting. DID is far more than just the alters, hence why it isn’t called MPD anymore. If they actually had it, then they’d know that

  I work with teens with autism and other behavioral issues. I don’t know why anyone would want Tourette’s it causes extreme pain and most of the time it makes going out extremely difficult, bruising, scars lots of injuries to if it’s really severe. DID who in their right mind would fucking think this is how it works. It’s not a switching of personalities it’s more like an amnesiac episode where it causes extreme anxiety, fear sometimes screaming and complete confusion. Like the person actually afflicted with it completely does not know where they are sometimes and then they come back and you don’t know when it’ll happen…this shit will never stop
