  I want to thank those that made this video. As a young black guy growing up in England Thin lizzy made me proud they got me into rock music boys are back in town came out when I started secondary school . we used to sing it on the bus. I thought it would change England and people's feelings about other races .  it is really sad how it ended

  Phil was very proud to be Irish and he never let you forget it. He loved the Irish mythology and it's culture. He was an Irish poet who played bass. He's gone but certainly not forgotten.

  As a 35 year old guy from the states, their music was made before I was born and far away from where I was born and it still found its way into my heart. That’s the proof of how amazing of a band they were .  Rest easy Phil

  I was walking around Dublin town in April, looking for a pub called McDaids in Harry street, and walked right into Phil Lynott's statue! I'm a fan from Johannesburg, South Africa.

  I saw them three times in concert, the first time was in a college and Whiskey in the Jar was just out. I’m 69 and it was amazing

  Bought Live and Dangerous when it came out, I was 13. I'm 58 and it's still my favourite live album. Awesome!

  The image that sticks in my head of Phil is: I was spending the night over a friend's house and saw an album cover with him on his knees during a live performance  --this was way before I'd picked up an instrument...and that photo said it all for me.  I consider them one of the best of all time.  I picture Phil's spirit visiting the statue at night when no one's around...if I could just get into this craft and come back.  I also pictured Gary Moore on the other side saying to himself, "Man oh man, I gotta find Phil and have him show me around..."
