I’m very surprised he lasted as long as he did, what a crazy life and a tragic ending

For me, " The Boys Are Back " conjures up the image of the motorbike gang in "The wild ones" film.

No wish to be pedantic, but Phil was taken ill at the Kew house on Christmas Day 1985. His mum detailed it in her book (My Boy). She found him trying to get warm by having a bath fully clothed. He was driven to Clouds House in East Knoyle, Wiltshire, and then to Salisbury Infirmary, around ten miles off. A lot of this is very good, though, particularly on the medical side.
