  i have owned mercedes for 25 years. currently have c300 and sl450. both older: pre-2020. i have told mercedes that i won&apos;t buy an EV and don&apos;t even want a hybrid. &nbsp;and, i won&apos;t pay the asking price for any of their models. same with my porsche. i have had it for 15+ years and won&apos;t buy another one, new. both marques forgot what their customer base was and what we the purchasers, not the government, wanted. that also goes with the touch screen nonsense instead of buttons and knobs. and, i want my navigation built in -- not hooked to my d.mn phone.

  I bought a 3 years old slightly used MB EQS 580 for half the price and I absolutely love it. I would not consider buying an ICE Mercedes or any other ICE car. Having an EV &nbsp;is like day and night compared to stinky gas cars. Its so insanely powerful and fast, quiet, no gas stations to visit, always charged at home, no oil changes. I like the way it looks- very slick and futuristic. Hyper screen is fantastic -and I already got used to it, so anything smaller is not good enough.And these imposing &nbsp;grills like rolls royce or maybach look like dinosaurs to me. I guess everyone is different…

  Larger forces are at play here. &nbsp;LIke it or not, traditional manufacturers are all threatened by the Chinese at this point and the most likely course forward is going to involve consolidation and rebranding. China has access to Europe, and will gain quicker access to the US thru joint ventures and rebranding. Globally, the Chinese are decimating the market.

  sorry Merc with the Chinese competitive motor industry , mercedes can no longer be arrogant and they need to go back to basics which made them famous in the 70s , 80s and 90s . Their cars are too expensive today

  Chinese cars will be like Toyota and Volkswagen..... For masses because of quality.<br>The Germans and British will be limited to the Classic Series.<br>Bet on that.
