  Hey Mat, Mercedes tech here. The original Mercedes oil for this gearbox (9 trap) should be yellow/gold with code 236.17. If you are using original Mercedes oil blue will be for the 7 trap gearbox. You probably used another brand of oil and thats why it is blue. Telling you just in case you didn't know. Very much enjoyed the vid and good to see you getting better and better in the repairing of these monsters. Keep it up!

  Pulling apart the original engine and the faulty differential sounds like an excellent second channel video, because I’m pretty curious what went wrong with both.

  Hey Mat, there is no requirement for Wintertires in Switzerland, but you must have control of the Car at all time. If you crash a Car in the Winter and you dont have Wintertires on, its gona be quite expensive since you also get a fine. And Swiss Insurance companies will not cover all the Damage.
