Regarding cell sizes. Your last guest mentioned a cell size of 3.4 mm.
That's a full 2 mm less than the industry standard.
But is there a cell size that can make the pupae small enough to were the pupae will die before it's time to emerge therefore trapping the mites inside the cell.
Is there a cell size somewhere between that 3.4 mm and 5.4.

It's nice to hear their perspectives and thoughts. I wanted to add something. I'm not sure if you are aware but one of the largest almond growers is also a very large beekeeper. It's because it's cheaper if they own the hives and be their own broker

That was interesting beekeeping news. Greetings from a fellow beekeeper who does barefoot beekeeping with traditional skeps and log hives. #skepbeekeeping

If our government would make all honey products label what is in them it would help to determine what is syrup and what is honey

It seems the both cooperation amongst beekeepers..or any industry..is an oscillating factor with the competitive nature of business...and in general how we think.

No corporate sell out. Thats the problem with ag (big ag) and anything they touch. Worst thing ever.

Would be absolutely amazing to find out that varroa mite chemical reads are significantly impacted by simply increasing the ratio's of cell size even to the tune 10 to 40 %
If i were you, id heavily suggest keeping in touch with the last guy as a content creator.. something just feels oddly right about the logic here

Don't sale out to big corporations. Don't let them control it.

that statement about the silo bee business being created and the younger generation rather watch a videos than join an association. I see why. The Silo bee businesses are under that old thought of "If I'm winning then everyone else has to be losing." Which isn't necessarily true. And the younger generation rather watch videos statement, Heck ya! So much easier to get info from an online video, plus with the videos, you get to see all the little nuances of beekeeping that you wouldn't get from an association.

HOWEVER!!! With all that said you still need a mentor and a group of people you surround yourself with to keep you motivated and in the know. There are just some skills you can't learn from a video.
