I didn't realize until anticipating this reaction- Henry was, by his request, buried with Jane. Ironically, his coffin didn't fair well- but hers was untouched, which gave me some goosebumps of how fitting this song is with those two facts.

The between song audio is actually from a bootleg of the show, which is why it sounds like it's a dive bar. There's no official recording of the talking segments because that'd be giving the whole show on an album.

1:20 I just want to clarify - the audio for the speaking parts is NOT intentionally poor. Those sections are made using fan recordings during live shows, whereas the music sections are using the studio recordings which are obviously going to be much higher quality. It's just serendipity that it ended up sounding cool.

"There's still room to go. They can still make it bigger, I promise." Oh, I know.

Refraining from spoilers, Kat Howard's song makes me cry lyrically. This one makes me cry musically. If that makes sense.

Natalie May Paris, who sings this song on the album and also played the role for years, is an absolute vocal wizard. When she sings the song live, it literally sounds the exact same as on the album. There's some live videos of her doing it on Youtube if you're ever interested (not bootlegs, just other performances she's done)

This is always the song that we skip when listening to the album but when we saw it live a few years ago, Jane's (same as the album) just absolutely blew us away! I cried the whole song just from the power of her voice.

Hearing the big belt at the end of this song live is one of my favourite experiences I've ever had seeing a musical in a theatre. Full body chills!

I don't know if anybody mentioned it but the six queens are inspired by various modern pop stars, with Catherine of Aragon linked to Beyoncé, Anne Boleyn to Avril Lavigne and Lily Allen, Jane Seymour to Adele and Sia (and I'd like to add Mariah Carey and Celine Dion), Anne of Cleves to Rihanna and Nicki Minaj, Catherine Howard to Ariana Grande and Britney Spears, and Catherine Parr to Alicia Keys. That's why sometimes the songs feel more modern and have a particular vibe.

This song is just amazing and heartbrakingly beautiful! And the vocals are beyond crazy!!! Want to get your heart broken a bit more? Keekiiiam brilliantly alluded to it in the animatic: there is a reason that Jane sees an early teen version of her son at the end and hugs him. Her son died at 15!!! So that is her spirit finally able to be in the same realm as him :(
