As a gay man myself, I’ve always thought this episode is a good tongue-in-cheek commentary on the attitude certain people have towards gay people, especially at the time this aired. They’re kind of weirded out and uncomfortable while also trying to ham-fistedly show support. They mean well but they tend to say some really ignorant/poorly-worded things…and be a little too proud of themselves for their allyship. Personally, I think it’s a hilarious (if a little dark) gag and the, “Now go be gay for that poor, dead intern!” kills me every time 😂

I have watched quite a few Supernatural reactors and I have to say without question, you are the best. Always look forward to the next one dropping. 👍

I don't know how much homework the writing team did back then, but Lilith has her roots in mesopotamian demons that were believed to steal the souls of children, causing stillbirths or causing babies to die not long after birth, essentialy a magical explanation for the common instances of child mortality. They even had statuettes of other entities, such as Pazuzu, meant to scare away these demons, and magic bowls with spells written on their inner face meant to seal them.
So before being associated with the snake in the garden, or reimagined as Adam's first wife and the mother of demons, or even later rebranded as a succubus, Lilith was feared as a spirit that dwelt in desolate places and would come and steal the soul of people's infants. She preferring to possess a little girl in Supernatural could be a reference to that part of her lore.

12:19 J2 are actually from TX and that line hits even funnier This is right up there with the Who episode Blink where the main cast is barely in there at the beginning but it was an instant fan favorite

Until I recently rewatched I didn't remember that Corbett is played by Dustin Milligan, the same actor that was Ted in Schitt's Creek!
