Chill Out is a masterpiece, anyone who is into sample-based music that hasn't heard it before owes it to themselves to check it out

If you haven't read John Higgs' "The KLF: Chaos, Magic and the Band Who Burned a Million Pounds," you've missed out on one of the most amazing journeys from the end of the 20th Century. These guys (The KLF) are more important than we yet recognize.

Hi El Train, could you make a video about Coldcut, hey are an influential British group known for their music as well as their sample CD, such as 1992 called Coldcut – Kleptomania, that CD contains samples from other artists' songs that the WhoSampled community is still actively tracking down. They also founded their own label, Ninja Tune; you should check it out on Discogs, as they released several well-known CD samples there like the five volumes of DJ Food - Jazz Brakes and the four volumes of DJ Toolz – Break Beats 'N' Grooves which also feature samples from other artists that the WhoSampled community continues to discover.

Imagine such a surreal picture - I serve as soldier in the Soviet army in 1991. We had a TV in our barracks, which was allowed to turn on in the evenings, shortly before lights out. And suddenly, a KLF video is shown on some music program, it seems to be "3 A.M. Eternal". Of course, this is the first time I've seen this band, but I immediately get the feeling (deja vu) that I know it for some reason and that it's very cool and important band :yougotthis:

These are the men that made me. I am glad I was there in the 90’s when 3 AM ETERNAL was everywhere… they gave me joy when I needed it. They taught me to never give up. GOD BLESS BILL AND JIMMY.

Lord Rock and Tim Boy… bless. You made me a happy person to the impossible is possible.

My earliest memory was hearing their single “Last Train to Transcentral”. Blew my mind! Loved them ever since. The book by John Higgs is a great overview of their music and philosophy.

I found the KLF when I went to Blue Man Group in the late 90s. Loved that tune and digging into their catalogue when the internet came of age and Napster was king.

Wow! This is an amazingly concise documentary on the KLF. I really enjoyed the narrative and the editing. Also, the way you introduced your Patreon was seamless. I usually skip past those, but not on this video. Nice work!

You made a video on one of my favorite bands. I feel lucky to have lived through it. Threw you some HYPE.

Big in Japan, that band is like an upside down supergroup. Then they were nobodies, a decade and a bit later just about everyone was well known in music or art.
