  I am 69. In my lifetime I have seen the first man to walk on the moon, the development of nuclear power and nuclear weapons, the evolution of computers and ai, plus incredible advances in science and medicine (to name but a few). I really have lived at the very best time that a human could live. You would think that this would make me optimistic for the future but with everything going on in the world today I actually feel overwhelmingly pessimistic and worry a lot for my kids and grandkids. That’s when I think about it at all, which, to be honest, I try not to. These days I try to focus on the present, enjoying music, sport and nature - some of the great achievements of civilisation! <br><br>……and being kind to one another, in small and big ways, is incredibly important.<br><br>Thankyou, Brian, for this video. It was so incredibly thought provoking and intelligent. It really is fun to rewarding to think about things like this. <br><br>Now, where is my violin?😉
