A piece of clothing not breaking apart before it goes out o style is the real quiet luxury.

I am glad there’s a handful of you that create fashion content that’s beyond pick up videos and trend forcasts. This is real substance.

Seems to me that minimalism with high quality fabrics and subtle styling is a good way to create a wadrobe that will last and isn't based on trends. It's just that it's simple and doesn't clash.

I think minimalist fashion is nice. However, what I do have a problem with are minimalist logos, websites, decoration and items. They feel less like an attempt to be classy or convenient, and more of an attempt to suck the soul out of literally everything.

I think a lot of the reason why I'm alright with it in fashion is because it only makes up part of a person. They also have a personality and the ability to do stuff. There's still the potential for someone who wears minimalist clothes to have a fun personality or be expressive in their body language. But when it's an inanimate object, that potential for it to be fun in other ways is rarely there.

Also, some people are fighting back against cringe culture, and this often includes fighting back against the minimalism which is caused by it and people's fear of expressing themselves. A lot of us gen z'ers have been exposed to cringe culture from a young age, meaning we have internalised a fear of being "cringe." This culture still strongly exists with the rise of acting "nonchalant" and social punishment whenever someone shows any passion towards something or types too much in a comment, but a lot of people are now deciding as adults that life is too short to constantly hide any expression of yourself --- and self-expression is the opposite of minimalism.

It is unfortunate as minimalism went from; simple elegance to boring mundanity that is utterly soulless. (Also pls do one of those like half an hour videos on avant grade fashion ei Margiela, Rei, Rick etc. Like the punk and sci-fi videos.)

I feel like “minimalist fashion” will never go out of style, because one thing that I’ve noticed is that there are so many people who says they don’t care about trends anymore and will keep wearing simple outfits. (Unless they are insanely into fashion.) People not caring about trends is a pretty rare occurrence. Imo all you need is newer, unique silhouettes, cuts, patterns and good high quality fabrics. And I feel like it would always be appreciated in some retailers by the majority of consumers.

I used to wear black and grey all the time for 20 years. I now only buy pink, turquoise and white clothes. I even think of getting some coral and salmon ones. I am a guy though and most guys here only wear black. I get weird looks but i am happy.
