  Minimalism can be freeing but it can also get so boring which leads you to go back to maximalism, rinse and repeat. The cycle continues.

  Best tip I ever heard when finding personal style was to look at things you love visually that are NOT related too fashion (art, architecture, cinematography, etc). I suppose it relates to ‘perusing other interests’  and it’s amazing what you can learn about yourself from them.

  Fashion burnout is so real…dressing comfortably and ‘basically’ has been so freeing for the past year. I’m currently at a stage where that’s reconfiguring again, I needed this reminder

  I have to admit, I started watching your channel because of your initial fashion style. As a 2nd generation older(almost 60) Asian woman, I did not often get to see Asian women in eccentric, period influenced fashion, which is what I favor. As a child, I was discouraged from doing so by my immigrant mother, and ridiculed by her when I grew older and dressed as I pleased. The internet has allowed me to see young people, young Asian women, wearing all kinds of fashion. This has brought so much joy to the child within me. Thank you for being a part of that.

  I respect the sentiment, but it still kills me to see people with clear and unique styles give up their art in favor of the basic copy-paste influencer outfit. There are ways to simplify the way you dress without sacrificing all the creativity.

  it’s a meme that occasionally recirculates on twitter but jemima kirke writing “i think you guys might be thinking about yourselves too much” on an ig story genuinely has helped me with building a stronger personal identity 😭

I like to dress up. I like to dress up for the grocery store: I put together a banging outfit, maybe even makeup. But I work &amp; study from home + I&apos;m a hermit, so that&apos;s basically my one outing of the month. On the daily, I wear no makeup &amp; live my life in sweatpants. &amp; I&apos;m a happy camper x

  Honestly, the idea of microtrends being the death of personal style is so funny when just a little over 100 years ago everyone was basically wearing the same constructed outfits just with different patterns and colors.
