  Ashleigh when I tell you these drums TRAUMATIZED me as a child... We lived across the street from a high school and when the band would have early morning practice I could hear the drums and I fr thought Jumanji was coming to get my ass 😂😭

  By the way, the same guy who wrote the book "Jumanji" (in 1981!) also wrote a sequel which was also turned into a movie, called "Zathura: A Space Adventure". It's called a "spiritual successor" because it uses many of the same ideas and takes place in the same fictional universe.

  The poacher was a literal embodiment of his father — same actor, same presence. He represented the fear he’d been running from and the man he ultimately had to face.

  I grew up next to Keene, NH, where Jumanji was filmed! They still have a Parrish Shoes mural on Main Street in remembrance of the film

One of the students called her out of on her lie and rather harshly brought up how her parents were dead. &nbsp;Peter responded by biting the kid in question.

  The main bully in the beginning of the movie was a kid I knew in real life. He was at my bus stop. His name is Gary. &nbsp;He was in a few other movies, like the good son. &nbsp;He played Elijah’s Woods’ double shot from the back of the head. &nbsp;I remember he had to grow his hair out for it. &nbsp;In real life, the kid was the opposite of a bully. He was kind of known as like a teacher’s pet, kind of nerdy kid. Very nice kid.
