4 kilobytes took us to the Moon now we're lucky if we can open up an Excel sheet with 8 gigs of RAM. Oh how things have changed

Needs a RamDisk to give it more speeeeed! Thanks for making sure it was archived on wayback machine so I can see it even while your home connection gets smashed by floppy traffic!

I contributed to ELKS while trying to make it work on a HDSL modem that had an 80c188eb. I ended up making a SBC with the same components. Excellent project and a lot of support from the developers there, specially Greg! (at least I'm in the contributors list you showed, I'm the last one there!)

Appreciate the censorship of the thermal paste. Very necessary.

Next, we need to run a full social media network off of a single floppy

Ah, the 80's and 90's, when programmers just squeezed every bit of performance they could out of a machine, unlike nowadays where the companies just say "sorry, you need a machine made last week to run this, or you can rent one from us".

Coyote Linux – the floppy-based firewall/router – included a simple web admin interface. It loaded itself into a RAM disk, so it didn’t need to access the floppy all the time.
