These Radeons are notorious for dying when the fan stops due to bad bearings. I would very much advise you to add some kind of ventilation to that card.

I watched this video in 360p on my 2ghz iMac G5 w/ 2 gigs of ram, and an ATI radeon 9600 with 128 megs of vram. (posted the comment from it too.)

Iβve been using PowerFox on my Snow Leopard Intel Mac for 3 weeks now, I still need some ppc software. And this browser is the best thing to happen to old macs in 15 years!

Love this! I would like for OSX to still look like that.

Sometimes I forget just how fast computing was still moving back then and then abruptly slowed to a crawl. I have my mom set up with a dell optiplex that's only 4 years newer than the G5 and it runs like a champ! Granted it has a 1050 ti and Linux to help it along, but even if it didn't I think the average person would barely notice it was a 15 year old PC.

4:58 Itβs interesting that Apple switched from Intel to Apple Silicon for pretty much the same reasons they did from PPC to Intel.

Thanks for the video. Just installed this on my old G4 ibook 1.25GHz with 1.25 GB RAM. Worked well [just ran some tests], and it was able to load just fine many sites I sent it to such as NASA, DW, UCF, and it streamed music from my favorite classical music station's website in Rhode Island. Thanks again :)

YouTube struggles on a modern computer, running it on a 20 year old Mac is sorcery as far as Iβm concerned
