I started to spend extra 30min in bed now im in my late 30s, at first I felt bad, but I realise my morning anxiety is gone.

I wasn’t aware easing out of bed was a health hack! As a slow riser for years, this practice is just what my body needs. My doctor recently asked me why I can’t get out of bed sooner or faster. I told him this is a tried and tested practice that makes me feel my very best and there’s no way I’m going to do differently. Thank you for these tips I resonated and subscribed.

Wow my Nigerian mother has been drilling this into us since we were young! she would side eye me whenever I’d drink with ice, especially if I was on my period and she has been training us to wake up ~06:00am, read the bible, pray, and meditate (breathe) before getting out of bed! it’s cool to see cultural parallels

In my family it is much different- as babies, we were left in our prams in the snow. When I was sick, I was scrubbed with hot water and flushed with cold, then wrapped in warm blankets in front of an open window with cool, fresh air. I always got well quickly. Ice water and hot tea made me feel better. The extremes of hot and cold made us feel invigorated, giving us excellent circulation and energy. To this day, I rarely catch a cold, and my family members live long lives. With so many people from different parts of the world, I have to wonder if perhaps we have adapted to different climates and health habits.

I’ve always been inspired by the saying that our bodies are our temples. Because of that, we should be mindful of what we put into our bodies and avoid what may harm them.

I never spring out of bed, too much work so early in the morning... I wack my alarm 3 times first and then I ease to the edge of my bed, mumbling curses to the new day.

So that was my comment on reading the thumbnail alone. Now I'm going to watch the video

I started drinking warm water instead of cold when I was 17, even before I knew anything about TCM. I had a sore throat so I thought drinking warm water would help, it ended up helping with so many other things in my body, I can’t no longer drink cold water

Yes! It has been about 6 months of only drinking warm (130* F using a water boiler with a built in thermometer) lightly salted water and it really helps. My husband I have scheduled in 15 minutes of cuddles every morning with 2 alarms.

you are chinese and I'm from Afghanistan. we still are neighbors through the boarder and Asians are just the same wherever they/we are from. My mom always tells me to not drink cold things in the morning because it shocks the body and I need to drink warm water so it allows my body to activate itself slowly. And then you mentioned everything word by word . its not a Chinese thing. its just an Asian thing. I mean.. we are from Afghanistan living in Europe and she still is like that.. same with covering our feet especially as women😅 at the end of the day my ancestors are from the big persian empire and China also has a long history on its own😂
