Couldn't agree more about the horrible villas with a plunge pool surrounded by cement walls. Give me a nice shared garden and large pool anyday.

It's funny how nostalgia has the effect of anchoring us to a place and/or to people. I think the older we get, the more change affects our present reality, either negatively or positively. I agree with you Adam, the world absolutely doesn't need another Canggu. Btw, I'm 62.
