I always loved the fact that Forge can build literally anything, but he doesn't always know what he's building while he's building it and might not even REALLY know what it does until he flips the "on" switch. Forge has to name his inventions AFTER he sees what they do. Thats actually crazy.

What cable did for forge is exactly what a good therapist does. Gives you tools and framework for you to fix it lol.

Forge and Beast would make the best engineering team. Wish we could see more of them together in X Men 97

When I first learned about Forge in the original 90's X Men cartoon, I thought he was a future XMen, working with Bishop from the future, not a present time XMen. Always thought having a super power that was related to being really smart was cool power because of its limitless story telling potential. Way better than just boring super strength.

Note that Forge's Neutralizer was based on Rom the Spaceknight's Galadorian Neutralizer, which he had a chance to examine. This was the pinnacle of Galadorian technology and AFAIK he was never able to fully duplicate its functions (it could neutralize almost any energy, including Cosmic Energy, and open portals to Limbo), though he did build a satellite based amplifier for Rom's weapon used to banish Wraith World.

Maybe he could do so, but never had a reason to, as he was contracted by the US government to build a power neutralizer, not a general energy neutralizer. Hard to say, but Forge does seem to need to have an end goal in mind, unlike Reed Richards or Doom that discover entirely new physics and build inventions to use them.

I for one was very glad when Marvel re-acquired the rights to Rom, who belongs in the Marvel Universe where he started from, toy licensing be damned.

I was always confused why they didn't call on him to deal with the sentinels.

He has super intuition basically, normal intuition is based on our experience and knowledge ,super intuition literally feels the laws of the universe the mechanical energy or something , because his conscious mind is still normal he does not know how he builds stuff he can just build a teleporter but he does not know the science he used to do it but he can feel it if that makes sense his power is routed in his subconscious
