If you want to know his true power and potential without the techno organic virus just look at "X-Man" Nate Grey from the Age of Apocalypse timeline ,he was literally made to be the answer to that question

A live action series of cable would go nuts.

Now that I think about it, it's similar to Wolverine. Cable's virus restricts his powers as Wolverine's healing factor holds back his metallic skeleton poisoning.

Crazy how this is the direction we are heading in as far as technology binding with humans. I see us looking like this soon in the future.

You missed one of the most interesting theories about Cable's eye and how it seems to interact with his psychic powers. The glow is an indication of the growth rate of the techno organic virus. When it's glowing dimly, he has his psychic powers focused completely, or almost so, on suppressing the virus. When he's forced to use those powers to do other things, the virus gains strength, and the eye glows brighter in response. As with every theory about his powers and depictions, there's comics which support it and others which contradict it, but it's an interesting theory. I've heard this one in a few places before, so I'm surprised it didn't come up in the video.

My earliest memory of cable is in x force. His team was against a villain, he commanded his team to retreat to protect them from what would have killed them. He then challenged the villain on his own. The villain was magneto and cables techno organic p options were exposed. It was far more than just his arm.

I'm surprised you didn't call out. Nate gray AKA X-Man and strife from the '90s is examples of cable full potential. Both of those characters were basically godly and had to be killed cuz they broke the power scaling for the Marvel comics universe.

This reminds me of trying to hit a 45 page count in a term paper when I maybe have a page of information on hand. 😂 I mean, the information is interesting, but you can fast forward a bit and it feels like you didn't skip anything...

Cable is kinda convoluted due to time travel retcons, so depending on what issue you're reading you can get something drastically different.

When Cable debuted up until the end of X-Cutioner's Song he was a cyborg. Don't think they said it outright but it was heavily implied it was due to the technorganic virus and that was how he survived and it drastically limited his powers.

This lead to Stryfe being created and initially neither one knew who was the original or the clone.

After that arc and the Slim and Red arc where Scott and Jean spent a few years with Nathan and was taught how to use his powers, his mechanically appendages were infected areas of the virus instead of cyborg replacements.
