Nora and Ray, you did an outstanding job explaining the details of this special project! I hope many people will see this video and seriously investigate using hemp-lime (hempcrete) for their projects. It is one of the healthiest, beautiful, and low-carbon ways to build. Can't wait to see the next cabin take shape.

MCS is exactly what has me relocating to the desert and hoping to build my own non-toxic home. Thank you so much for leading the way! (I'm literally sitting here in my toxic apartment wearing an N95 mask at 11:30pm waiting for my neighbors to stop fumigating me with laundry fumes and fake log "wood" fires, and I can't close the windows because my neighbors in the complex use so many fragranced chemicals I can smell them through the walls even with the vents taped up... just to express the urgency of need for these kinds of homes for those of us suffering with toxic modern human environments!! I'm happy to have this video education but I'd also love to be long since in bed by now... but I have to wait for the air to clear :(  these homes and the option to build them in remote areas will change the lives of so many!!!!!)

Beautiful and such thoughtful design!  I am studying building biology and I am looking forward to building something similar in Virginia!  Hope to visit you all in Texas.

I love this project! I've been researching for a porch renovation I'm planning for next year that I hope will be similar to this. Do you have recommendations on how to learn the ins and outs of hempcrete building and earthen floors? I have some books but there are not many video tutorials that go into detail. I'm also very curious about how to ground an earthen floor. The book I have does not cover this topic.
