  Andreas, you should test the VFO scan feature.<br>Because when I read the manual, I understand that it only works with the microphone... and that&apos;s unbelievable !? 😯<br>But indeed, it seems there&apos;s no SCAN menu, and I don&apos;t see a physical SCAN button either.<br>It means that if you want to simply scan and listen, not transmit, you have to plug the microphone anyway... weird move from Yaesu !<br><br>Also, did you try to save a split frequency into a memory channel ?<br>It&apos;s also weird, because according to the manual you can only input the TX frequency into the memory, and nothing else... but often the RX and TX frequencies have different settings (CTCSS etc.), so how can we set them here ? Seems impossible 😯

  why is this not in line with the 8.33khz rule in airband? or example I try to tune on a particular TWR frequency of 135.105 but on the radio it&apos;s heard clear on 135.100. can someone explain this pls?

  Is it possible to connect this radio using a 10pin mini din / RCA cable to a 3rd party RF amplifier like a sailor marine amp. My 710 does this perfectly. Thanks 73
