  I’m completely sold on this. I’ve been long overdue to take my Ham exam. I kept putting it off because my practice test scores averaged around 81% — just above the 70% pass mark, but still shy of the 80% required for HF privileges below 30 MHz. The Canadian exam basically combines both U.S. Technician and General levels into one.<br>Since the exam was updated in July, I’ve decided to take a live online course to strengthen my understanding and cover all the new questions. &nbsp;<br><br>My reward will be the Optima version of this radio. &nbsp;Then I have all the radios I need in one package

  Mike, <br><br>Thanks for this video and all you do for the &quot;sport&quot; of HAM radio. Your work has been instrumental in getting me from Tech to Extra in 3-months. I also have you to &quot;blame&quot; for depleting my bank account LOL. I too have the FTX-1 (and the Optima), the QMX, a (tr)uSDX, the FT-891 (plus a couple others) and love and enjoy them all. Like you said, they have pretty much chased all the bugs out of the FTX-1. Keep up the amazing and enjoyable work.<br><br>Brad<br>W6CDR

  Finally, i knew this radio could record and tx audio, thanks for showing this, one question, when you were demonstrating the tx, i didn’t see an antenna connected, concerns for damage to radio when tx without antenna attached? Keep up the great work
