  On the copyright registration comment<br>A few people have asked about this, so let me be clearer than I was in the video. What I meant is specific to writing for libraries. If your work goes to a library or publisher, they register it as part of their administration. Self-registering first is usually redundant and can create headaches on their end, since libraries rename tracks all the time. That&apos;s my situation, and it&apos;s why I don&apos;t bother.<br><br>That&apos;s not a general rule, and I shouldn&apos;t have made it sound like one. If you&apos;re self-releasing with no publisher, nobody registers for you. In the US you can&apos;t file an infringement suit without a registration, and you lose statutory damages and attorney&apos;s fees unless you registered before the infringement or within three months of publication. Without those, most attorneys won&apos;t take the case. Copyright exists the moment you write the song. Registration is what makes it enforceable. Whether that&apos;s worth paying for depends on where your music is headed.

  Once DAWs like Logic, Cubase, Studio One, and others start integrating AI directly into their software, platforms like Suno probably won’t have much of a reason to exist anymore.

  It&apos;s nice to be able to make your own decisions about your songs. Why am I using Suno? I&apos;m pushing 70 years old. I don&apos;t know how much longer I&apos;m going to be here. I record a 10 song cd. it cost me thousands. I made hundreds ha Ha! My daughter dug out my song book that&apos;s been collecting dust for years and say, Dad, can you do a recording of this song you wrote in 1979? I said, yeah. Just me and my guitar. Then she surprised me with the Suno recording. I was shocked to hear my song come alive after all these years. My lyrics, my arrangement, my song that nobody would ever hear or would never see the light of day. Just to feel and see the old memories of being a 19 year old kid. Well screw it man, It&apos;s worth it to this old man!

  I have a pro membership and I write all my own lyrics, I never publish songs and turn off remix and comments. I was shown a song by Suno that suggested it was similar to my taste and I might want to listen. I thought weird, it has the same title as my song I wrote back in March about a very personal experience. I checked out the song and it was the same theme and chorus as my original lyrics just slightly tweaked word wise. I reported the song to Suno and attached my original to the report. They agreed it was too similar and took down the song but the user has already released it to Spotify, DK etc. I have looked up the different titles of my 17 songs and there are 10 reworked versions of my songs on Suno. It proves to me that Suno AI will churn out various versions of your lyrics to prompters that fit the style and theme of your song. I am deleting my account.
