What do you think of Suno v6? If you don't like it, what is a good alternative?

It's not the frequency balance so much. It's the fact that almost everything in V6 sounds overproduced, over compressed and lifeless.

Let me say one more thing. If SUNO doesn't bring back the sound quality and creativity of previous versions, it's going to suffer a huge loss of customers.

I just watched "Suno V6 Revisited — The Complaints, Tested!"<br>I was worried that my prompts were causing the issue where the bass builds up too much toward the end of the track and ruins the sound quality. But after getting advice from many people, I became convinced it’s an issue with Suno v6.<br>Your comparison with v5.5 was so clear and thorough that even with my limited English, I could follow along easily. This was super helpful. Thank you so much!

I took a song I wanted to cover, keep the basic music the same, the chorus the same, and just add new lyrics. After 4 hours, I gave up. It ignored the changes, and at times gave me completely different lyrics than what I had entered. It refused to adapt any changes, and in the end, I realized that it just wasn't going to work. SUNO is dead.

Oh my goodness! The first time I heard one of my tracks generated in v6 I thought I had accidentally selected the free version somehow. For hard rock/metal it buries the vocals under the instruments very badly. The final chorus was buried so deep I tried to extract the stems and even the editor couldn't find the lyrics. I hope they get v6 to v5.5 quality soon. I write my own lyrics so I can only speak to the sound quality.

Cancelled my Suno subscription. v4.5 was the best for creativity IMO. Suno v6 (even 'wild') is for supermarkets and elevators.

V6 is trained on a much smaller data base of music than previous versions.

My compliments on this video.<br>This is a truly professional way to deal with this sensitive subject, so thank you for that. I am also convinced that they are working very hard to improve the model as quickly as possible.

The V5.5 version of the 1st song sounds much better. V6 can't match it. <br> <br>It could be a bug, but why isn't that fixed immediately—while 80% - are complaining about the poor quality? <br> <br>From the previous V4.5, V5.0, and V5.5 models, we know that Suno is really capable of this. Don't forget, we pay a lot of money for the subscription!! <br> <br>I use all the options you mentioned, yet I can't get the same results as in V5 ( my favorite version). <br> <br>I have sound tests that 100 % show. that the sound changes from about 2 minutes on, and after <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dXGUDW_f5nA&t=210">3:30</a> minutes turns into a big mush. <br> <br>Suno V6 has problems with certain frequencies, especially in the area where the guitars are located. This is clearly audible. <br> <br>I think you are completely wrong about delivering lower quality: What happened to Udio then? <br> <br>It seems that you, as Suno partners, have different software than we do.

Good to see someone put an analyser on this instead of arguing by ear. One data point that fits your EQ-correct section: across 20 Suno WAV exports I measured, 0 of 20 were brickwall-limited and true peak sat around -4.2 dBTP, so the "over-compressed" feel people describe below isn't a final limiter squashing the file. It's density baked into the render. What the analyser does show is a tilt: sub around -11.6 dB against low-mid at -8.3 dB, with high at -13.7 dB and air way down at -21.5 dB, which lines up with the muffled complaint. And since those files average about -15 LUFS with plenty of peak headroom, a gentle top-end lift plus proper limiting to -14 for streaming changes more than most prompt tweaks. That finishing pass is what MasteringOne is built around for AI tracks.
