Actors Leo McKern (if I spelled his name correctly) and Patrick Cargill also acted in the second Beatle movie entitled "Help". George Harrison's son Dhani used the phrase "thenewnumber2" for one of his musical outlets.

The village has appeared many times in other shows. It was in the last episode of "Citizen Smith" When Wolfie and Ken went to Italy to find Shirley. It was used for some fashion adverts (Which I have one for mens clothes on video). I've been to the village 3 times. Once at night for an amazing fireworks display.

My favourite episodes were the first episode and the last episode. Arrival and Fallout. I know a lot of people thought Fallout was total madness that did not explain anything. I thought it was the perfect episode to end the series. Its what mcgoohan had been building up to all along. It was great that he had total and utter control of his baby. Its what his final vision was all about. I loved the final episode in its total madness and mayhem. He even had the Beatles Music to play on theJukebox as he was walking down for his final appearance. You cannot get more sixties than that. It was a perfect touch. When viewing it if you feel a bit uncomfortable watching it you must relax. You have to let yourself go. It summed up the 1960s perfectly. He captured the era. He immortalised the time period. Thankyou Mr Mcgoohan for giving me such joy when I look back at your masterpiece. Your life s work. Be seeing you.

Nice video. I was lucky. I was old enough to appreciate The Prisoner when it first came out. Then from 1973-1976 I did a degree at Bangor University, from where Portmerion is an easy two bus day trip. The first time I went there was Easter 1974 and the place was deserted! It was a windy day and the atmosphere was quite eerie. There wasn't even The Prisoner shop; only a newspaper clipping pinned to the wall. Since then I've visited a few times and each time there were more people. Portmerion was the perfect place to film the best work of fiction in television history.

Merci ! Belle découverte. Est-ce que les jardins avec les sculptures de visages font partie du village ?
