  I’m only 19 mins in. Another great video so far. But then surely- if you were sat in that room listening to a guitar being played… it would have that same RT60. And wouldn’t that be fine? And almost a nice thing? I’ll probably get slated for that lol. I feel like at the time of making a recording it’s important to have the recording room balanced (that’s why studio monitors are flat sounding isn’t it) but when played back isn’t it nice to pick up some local character? Again I’m probably going to get slated. Either way I really enjoy learning and thinking about this.

  Is the ceiling diffuser made from Styrofoam? It looks like cut Styrofoam. Is that dense enough to have much effect?

  Very interesting and beautiful sound panels and solution and beautiful room! I have walls in the sound room made of plaster and clay mixture tiles and they are covered with embossed patterned wallpaper, a corner has been cut off from one wall with a large built-in wall cabinet etc. and a large doorway and the ceiling is about 4m. high and the room is not very large and with large floor speakers and smaller experimental surround speakers and also shelf speakers the sound in the room is quite good! When listening to music I generally sit in the middle of the room and the speakers are set at an angle to the sofa so that the fronts of the two front speakers cross in an x ​​shape in the middle of the sofa with the direction of the sound. It is more difficult to get the subwoofer placement and bass sound right! Bass sound reflects more intensely in two corners of the room and I decided to install felt panels 1cm thick and embossed. Of course, a better solution would be strongly embossed and two-layer thinner felt sound panels with some empty space underneath, but they are also more expensive. Of course, the best solution would be a sound panel solution like the one in this video, but it would also be considerably more expensive! There are special bass-dampening panels on the market for the corners of a room, but they are not very pretty and take up a lot of space! There are also special studio sound panels on the market, but they are also expensive and take up a lot of space. I have good hearing for sound frequencies!

  I do agree, when I do install new furniture in my living room I was lost because sound became prety ugly and not interesting for listening, really I don&apos;t know what to do, stereo image already missing, vocals, guitars, &nbsp;high frequencies too, just a disaster ... your panels are very beautiful indeed.
