  Despite not competing anymore, Matt still one of the heaviest hitters in the game and deserves an immense amount of respect. Being on the test hit crew for hardline should tell you everything you need to know

  It's nice getting to know your career better.  Those of us who have come to the MTB scene at an older age don't really know about the career epicness for many big name riders such as yourself.  One of my favorite videos of yours.

  I'm personally glad that you no longer do comps. CTE is real and you are such a good ambassador for MTB. You have done a lot and keep doing a lot. You have more than done your part for the sport!

  Hey Matt - saw you at Hardline in Maydena Tasmania.  I saw you take ages with the fans autographing stuff for them, after what was a pretty hard day's work.  That was a class act. respect.

  Thanks for the content.  Hadn't heard of you until randomly clicking on your "I rode an Enduro in Canada" vid a few days ago. Next vid was you doing that insane gap in Wales. Thinking to myself "hmm, this guy has insane skills, not overly obvious from that 1st vid.  Who is he?". This vid certainly explains it all and was very interesting and enjoyable. My takeaway: it requires extraordinary conviction, diligence/resilience and non-stop hard-work. Have mtn biked solid/weekly since 1991 and still loving it and riding the occasional double blacks here on Vanc. Isl.  Vids like this give me a sense of confidence in the youth of today - that they're as (or more) resilient as any generation before them.  Cheers!
