It looks like you might have some voles which like the root crops, moles will not eat your potatoes as they are meat eaters, easy to remember V. for Voles and vegatables, M for Moles and meat. The patches on your potatoes is scab and is common problem your potatoes are safe to eat after peeling they all look and taste the same.

Hi Aga. My growing space is my haven! getting your hands dirty is so healing. I have never seen potato plants go so long and gangly, but you still got a good crop there! That is scab on the potatoes, due to watering, but they are safe to eat. The king edwards are usually bigger, but id put that down to the dry year too. We too had little rat friends burrowing in the beds and making tunnels. This past couple of months we have also had moles move it!

Looks like mole or vole but still a great harvest 🥔🥔🥔 the rain has definitely impacted but for the King Edward’s I would leave the plants in the ground until the have fully flowered, wilted and died down. (To make it less of an eye sore you can cut the foliage off and leave in the ground to continue growing. I am sure you enjoyed your homegrown harvest 👍 Happy growing

I love your garden. 🌱💚This year, we grew two varieties of potatoes: Timo and Prinsess. Timo is a super-early variety. 😊 We grew them in large buckets, and there were so many potatoes 🥔

That’s exactly why I garden. It’s where I go to relax and clear my head.

Moles and voles are root chewers 😢 I have been dealing with them a lot this year. Rats do a lot more sand sadly I had a few of those too, chewing my adored tomatoes. Hopefully you get it sorted soon. But wow you have some amazing potatoes there 🎉. 8:46 your soil looks fabulous and if it’s rich in worms that’s why moles move in. Lovely to see you back, have a spectacular week, Ali 🇨🇦
