  When I watched NDYakAngler catch them in the river with a Lego Chewbacca, I knew everything bout lure selection n colors was a lie 😂

  UV simply means ultra (above) violent (purple). Infrared means below red. This is in regards to wavelength of the photon (light). I’m not a bass so I have no idea what they prefer but what is a certainty is the red is the first to lose its color with water depth and purple is the last. I personally suspect that in very clear water such as where I fish in the lower end of lake Norman, standing out is not desirable with pressured fish that can see very well. Therefore light exposure theoretically should dictate best color ie translucent shallow, but need contrast at mid depth and deep. I suspect this is why sexy shad does so well for deep cranking. Th white is the contrast needed to simply see the lure and the subtle blue makes it stand out (blue is closer to purple than red on the color chart. This is different for stained and dirty water but the physics hold true for vision, with different needs due to lower photon or light penetration.
