Other than Miami, where I was born and raised, the U.S. has never felt like "home". <br>The cost of living in America has gotten outrageous and ridiculously expensive. I have a few friends who moved to Spain from Miami and they have all said that they spend less on groceries for the entire month than they used to spend at Publix each week.

I realize I didn't mention politics in this video, but it's important to acknowledge that it plays a part in why many people are leaving the US this year more than others. Safety, freedom, and political stability are important to me as well.

USA prices are odd. Rent is very high, food about average, gas/petrol and cigarettes are cheap, electric, water, internet expensive! Car Insurance is insane and medical costs of course.

Europe is a collection of big villages. Big enough to avoid some people and small enough to meet friends on a walk.

A friend from Spain once told me in the USA people live to work , in Spain we work to live. I couldn't agree more.

As a European/German, I can only congratulate you on your decision. Of all the reasons you mentioned, I would say this is the most important: "I feel at home in Europe."

Hey*, I am an American, living abroad in Sweden now for over 10 years. The people here are not so divided, polar, fanatical. I see that back home now. God luck on your adventures Kristin*

We just returned to US after 15 years of living abroad and I totally agree with you on all your points, prices have sky rocketed, especially with the new “deal” and high tariffs, and what I really hate here is that not having a proper job in the US means, no health insurance and one becomes very vulnerable and scared of getting sick or God forbid, needing a surgery or ER visit!! I am already thinking about leaving again, thanks for keeping us informed and good luck with upcoming travels!

My family has dual Irish American citizenship and we lived over there during covid. Can't wait to get back again for a longer period of time. We were over in Europe this summer and visited Romania for the first time and loved it. I wish you lots of luck!

Same here! Every single time I step foot in Rome it’s like I’ve arrived back home. I can’t explain it and I love how I feel there. I like that I have to go to the pharmacy for a simple medicine and chat with the pharmacist and locals 😄 and meeting friends in a piazza and just wandering around talking, It’s a feeling of home.
