  Axl's voice was everywhere in the 80s. GnR was one of the few marquee bands of the decade. It was magical.

  Axl can go nearly 6 octaves from F1 to B-flat 6. &nbsp; This put him a larger octave range than Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, Freddie Mercury, Steven Tyler, etc, etc, etc... basically everyone of importance in rock/pop music. &nbsp;<br><br>He hits F1 in GNR&apos;s &quot;There Was a Time&quot; and a B-flat 6 in &quot;Ain&apos;t It Fun.&quot; &nbsp;<br><br>Great reaction!! &nbsp; :)

  Axl was from a small town in Indiana. This song was about when he moved to LA. &nbsp;It was a wild place in the 80s, and still is. Heavy metal ruled the 80s!

  In 1987, i was an 11th grader metal head living in Nova Scotia. One of my favorite bands at the time was Iron Maiden. A buddy of mine won 4 tickets on a radio show to see them live in Halifax. Our plan was to meet up with my weed dealer outside the arena, get high during the opening act &amp; make it inside to catch the headliner show -Maiden. <br>As things turned out, my guy got busted and we arrived early at the show - without anything to smoke 😂. So. We decided to head in and catch the opening band. Never heard of them before - named Guns N Roses. It was the first and only concert I ever attended where the opening act had to come back to do an encore. They absolutely stole the show that night. I&apos;ve been a lifelong fan ever since!

  Paradise City and Sweet Child O&apos; Mine for more rock, Don&apos;t Cry and Patience for the softer acoustic songs. All are worth a listen.

  Back in the 80’s and 90’s, rock bands REALLY REALLY put a ton of emotion into their performances and when you see Axl sort of dance to his own song displays that. I’m not a rock music expert but you can totally feel the emotion coming from the entire song, especially the guitar solos and drums.

  This was their first single, but NOT their FIRST hit! I PERSONALLY think, and PROBABLY NOT personally... That THIS song should have been their FIRST hit!!!!!!!!!!! The Sha Na Na Na Na part is so INCREDIBLY IMPOSSIBLE to do!!!!!!!!!!! And, it&apos;s for your question... Queen is ALWAYS my FAVORITE band!!!!!!!!!!
