Lemmy started as a roadie for Jimi Hendrix. Hendrix is the one that advised him to switch from guitar to bass. <br><br>Every heavy band, rock, metal, or punk from 1975 to the present was/is influenced by Motörhead.

Lemmy was the bass guitarist for Hawkwind. "Motorhead" was the name of a song he wrote before he left the band. 😁

For a totally different Lemmy you should try his other band Head Cat, a "supergroup" with Slim Jim Phantom (Stray Cats) and Danny B Harvey (Rockats) - they played 50s Rock 'n' Roll. Lemmy singing Buddy Holly is something to hear!

Alice Cooper said Lemmy was the smartest guy he ever met because all he did was take speed and read. And his bass was SO loud live. 12in and 15in cabinets hit you in the chest.

In english slang, a motorhead is someone making excessive use of amphetamines. The singer Lenny fought a his life against child abuse. RIP Lenny.

I really enjoyed your reaction and analysis of this great track "Ace of Spades" from "Motörhead, Emma. <br>Other tracks which I recommend from them are: <br>"Overkill", <br>"Killed by Death", <br>"Bomber", <br>"1916", <br>"Orgasmatron". <br>There are many more but these are good ones to continue with.
