  I was on the pod kick, but just went halfway in and bought the meraki gen 2. And I'm enjoying it  easily to dial in too.

  The most unique feature of this machine is the NFC tag reader on the top to automatically dial in beans from partnered roasters

  I jumped from a Breville barista pro to this. I could tell first shot I pulled that the taste was way better. I find this machine is just manual enough for me. When dialing in a new bean it doesn't take long for me to get it right. I did upgrade a few things, I wanted a larger tamping station to fit more tools. Got a Normcore spring tamper because I just prefer spring tampers. All in all I think my Gen 2 was well worth what I spent!

  I have had my Gen 1 Meraki for about 14 months.  I came from a Breville Dual Boiler and Niche Zero grinder.  This was the best decision I ever made in coffee.  Extremely consistent results.  We use about 5 lbs of premium Coffee Bar roasted beans per month.  Extremely efficient workflow, extremely consistent results.

  dont know but comparing this to a gaggia is like comparing a new merc to an old fiat 500. some how im still looking at to get the the gaggiamate with all the gear or this machine haha, its kind of the same price when you add grinder, scales and so on

  Great review!  I have that "other" fancy machine, with the swiping...  I DO like it, but when it dies, I would consider getting this instead.  And if they ever produced one that looked a bit more traditional....  I would love it.  Or, if Fellows updated their stuff to work by weight....  whoa.

  Thank you for initially using the accessories that come with the machine. Many other channels use their own, and some channels even use their own portafilter. At least you reviewed the machine as it comes out of the box.
