I like both machines, but I purchased the Fellow Series 1. I love all the nerdy settings and the fact that once you dial it in, you don't need a scale. But the biggest reason is, I have a DF64 Gen 2.5 Grinder (With Red Titanium Burrs) and the built-in grinder on the Meraki is very good, but not at the same level. All that being said, I know I would be very happy with the Meraki, but I really do love my setup. Thanks for the great review. Oh, and your first taste comparison was before dialing in the volumetric settings on the Fellow. You had a slightly more diluted drink. Again, I'm sure I'd also be happy if I had the Meraki

The Meraki should also have the option to grind directly into the portafilter as is done with the Mignon Libra. It’s very doable and accurate. Introducing an extra step into the workflow with the Meraki to transfer the grinds from the cup to the portafilter each time is just silly at this price point when they are trying to be “an expensive all in one quick brew machine”. Probably a Meraki V3 feature.

love your videos, please try and review wpm primus and wendougee lita ba. also waiting for the mazzer grinder reviews. Lastly not sure if you are aware but you can fit mazzer 71mm conicals into the wpm konos, would be great to get an english review of this if you'd be interested in that

Both are great technologies. Fellow has more advanced settings. Meraki is a great all in one solution.

I wish I get ES1, but because it's V1 and usually fellow has issues with first Gen and it's all plastic and many reviews complaint about pressure is not consistent, i may wait to Gen 2/V2

Thank you. Very nice comparison video. It seems that all the people on the numerous YouTube coffee channels never show the workflow for making two milk-based drinks, one after the other. My theory is that they either live alone or, if they have a partner, they refuse to make them a drink too. If I made a latte and didn't make one for my wife at the same time, I would be in big trouble.

Been using the Meraki Gen 2 for 3 months and its been amazing. The hot latte's are home are amazing, the steam wand doesn't disappoint. The grinder can be a little finicky the settings are solid numbers and I wish it gave 0.x fine tuning like it does for the output gram weight does. I think time will tell how well it holds up before something breaks down.

In the comparison, which grinder did you use for the ES1? Did you use the coffee that was ground with the Meraki builtin grinder for the Meraki shot?
